The overhead panel is used to control and monitor aircraft systems. 
 Main sections include: 
 
 Electrical system 
 Fuel system 
 Hydraulic system 
 Air conditioning and pressurization 
 Anti-ice systems 
 
 Design principle: 
 
 “Dark cockpit philosophy” → In normal operation, no lights should be illuminated → Lights indicate abnormal or non-standard conditions
