# Airline Tutorial # Join the Airline ## **Create Your Account** All pilot registrations are handled via: 👉 FS Airlines [https://www.fsairlines.net/en/home](https://www.fsairlines.net/en/home) ### What to do: 1. Open the website 2. Click [**Register**](https://www.fsairlines.net/en/register) and create your account 3. We recomend to select EDNY as starting airport 4. Log in after registration --- ## **Join BlueLake Airways** 1. After Log in go into the [Crew Center](https://www.fsairlines.net/crewcenter/) 2. Below **Virtual Airline** you can search for: **BlueLake Airways** 3. Apply to join the airline 4. Wait for approval Once accepted, you are officially part of the airline ✅ --- ## **Join BlueLake Airways Discord** 1. [**Join the discord**](https://discord.gg/DCNDsBQKHU) 2. Read the Rules 3. Especially Point 11 for the discord Name rule 4. Select your Role via the Channel & Role option 5. Open the Website 2. register on the website and login after 3. Select your aircraft course 4. Study the related Handbook 5. You must have 90% correct answers 6. Complete the exam 7. Pass the test ✅ Only after passing, you are allowed to fly that aircraft ❗You have 3 attempts on every Type Rating exam, if you fail it on all attempts, read the Plan B part below! ℹ️ Note: For a faster assignment, go in our Discord and Post a screenshot of your successful attempt. --- ## **Plan B, the training flight** ❗ This part is only for pilots who failed the Type Rating exam three times! 1. Text a Staff member in the discord and ask for a training flight 2. Send him links to your three attempts 3. He will review your tries and give you a feedback either if he let you pass (can happen if you have between 80% and 90%) 4. If he can't do that, you must do a Training flight with an staff member in discord voice and stream 5. arrange a date for the flight ##### The training flight 1. you setup your simulator for a short training flight 2. This can be either a IFR traffic pattern or a short flight between two airports. 3. During this flight you will do all parts of the flight according to the Airline SOP and Aircraft Handbook. 4. If he see that you can handle the aircraft as we imagine it, and you're confident in it, he will give you the type rating ✅ Only after passing, you are allowed to fly that aircraft # Booking & Flight Preparation ## **Book Your First Flight** In FS Airlines: 1. Go to [**Book Flight**](https://www.fsairlines.net/crewcenter/index.php?status=book_flight) 2. Select a flight Via our Website 1. Open the [Routes Page](https://www.bluelakeairways.com/operations/routes/) 2. Click on the "Book a flight" button 3. Select a flight --- ### Booking Process: 1. **Press on the Blue and White "book flight" button** 2. **Choose Aircraft** - Must match your type rating 3. **Cofirm Flight details (dont change the Limits)** - Press on Submit 4. **Optional: Select Packages** - Optional cargo for additional revenue 5. **Open Briefing Document** - Right side of the screen or if you skipped Point 4, then on "continue" 6. **Go to Simbrief** - Scroll down - Click **SimBrief** 7. **Own Airframes** - Select our own Airframe variant - You can download them in the [Fleet Part](https://kb.bluelakeairways.com/shelves/fleet-and-downloads) of the Knowledgebase 8. **Generate the Flighplan** - No more edits needed with the custom Airframe - Just Generate your Flight Plan 👉 This will generate your operational flight plan --- ## **Install ACARS** 1. Go to [**Downloads** ](https://www.fsairlines.net/en/downloads)in FS Airlines 2. Download the ACARS client 3. Install it 4. Log in with your FS Airlines account 5. Select your simulator --- ## **Install Aircraft Livery** According to the SOP: - You must use the **official BlueLake Airways livery** - The correct **aircraft registration must match** ### Where to get it: 👉 **[Livery Downloads](https://kb.bluelakeairways.com/shelves/fleet-and-downloads)** ⚠️ Important: - Wrong livery = incorrect aircraft assignment - This can invalidate your flight # First Flight ## **Start Your Flight** 1. Start your simulator and prepare the flight 2. Open the Acars when ready for pushback and/or engine start 3. Start the Acars tracking 1. Click on "Fly!" 2. Click on "Fuel Up! 3. Click on "Fly!" 4. During the Acars Setup (Point 3) no inputs needed - Don\*t start the flight in the Acars before you fueled up the Aircraft in the Sim! 5. Start pushback and/or engine start 6. taxi out and get airborne --- ## **During the Flight** - ACARS runs automatically - No manual input required - IF you are doing a high speed descent/approach, select "high speed approved" in the Acars - Trouble inflight and you need to divert? Press "Divert!" in the Acars 👉 Follow all procedures from the Handbook --- ## **End Your Flight** After parking: 1. Open ACARS 2. Click **End Flight** Your flight will be logged automatically ✅ # Aditional Information ### **Callsign vs Pilot ID** - **Pilot ID** → Automatically assigned by FS Airlines → Used internally only - **Callsign** → Comes from your booked flight → Used in: - Simulator - ATC - ACARS
⚠️ Always use the **flight callsign**, NOT your Pilot ID --- ## **Important Rules** - ❗ ACARS tracking is mandatory - ❗ Correct callsign required - ❗ Official livery required - ❗ **VATSIM usage is mandatory** --- ## **Need Help?** 1.
