The overhead panel is used to control and monitor aircraft systems.

Main sections include:

• Electrical system
• Fuel system
• Hydraulic system
• Air conditioning and pressurization
• Anti-ice systems

Design principle:

• “Dark cockpit philosophy”
  → In normal operation, no lights should be illuminated
  → Lights indicate abnormal or non-standard conditions
